Porter Cable Routers
When someone says router, the first thing that comes to mind is the Porter Cable Router. They perfected this router back in the 40’s and the design is still so good that it is used today. Companies have tried to put out a quality router that matches the Porter Cable, but as of yet Porter Cable owns the Router market. They are powerful, with only slight vibrations and a bits system that prevents bits from locking up and getting stuck.

Porter Cable Routers - Porter cable offers both types of routers with a range from 7/8 to 3 1/4 horse power. Most applications can easily be done with a 1 3/4 horsepower router. Most of the amps are around 11 amps and have a 1/4″ and 1/2″ collet. Try to get a router that accepts both sizes. Other than that, Porter Cable will have everything else standard.
