Over the years Dewalt has earned numerous awards for their miter saws. Dewalt miter saws are light for the power they harness. They are designed right so that cutting beveled or crown molding is a snap. Most miter saws have the same options, along with stainless steel plates, but Dewalts are said to have some of the best and most durable motors around.

Dewalt Miter Saws - Dewalt offers the compound miter saw in a 10″ or 12″ and the compound sliding miter saw in a 8 1/2″ and 12″. Most of the time a 10″ compound miter saw will do the job since they all have 15 amps and the motors are about the same. If you are going to be carrying the saw around, I would suggest the 10″ compound miter saw. If you plan on leaving it on the work bench and cutting large stock lumber the 12″ slider might be the way to go.
